-Can I do LASIK if I am 18 years old?

-After LASIK, will I have to wear glasses again?

In most conditions, no. However, if you have residual power that cannot be corrected fully due to high refractive error, you will need glasses. However, it is best to get your eye checked to know whether you will need glasses or not after LASIK.

-Which one is better? LASIK or Flap-Less?

-Do I have to wear glasses all the time if I cannot see well?

If you have a refractive error, you are required to wear your glasses as poor vision impacts your quality of life and daily activities. If you do not like to wear them, you should consider laser refractive surgery (LASIK or Flap-Less).

-My dad cannot see properly due to diabetes. What options does he have?

Diabetic retinopathy is one of the irreversible blindness. Therefore, it is important for every diabetic patient to get their eyes checked by an eye doctor at least once a year. This is crucial to prevent blindness and early detection is key! The treatment options available for them include laser pan-retinal photocoagulation (PRP), vitrectomy and intravitreal anti-VEGF injection.

-What should I do if my eyes feel dry and itchy?

Dryness and itchiness of the eye are common symptoms for dry eye disease. You can try using eye lubricants, however, if the condition persists, please visit your nearest eye specialist for the correct diagnosis.

-If my eyes are red, what should I do?

Red eyes is one of the alarming symptoms for the eye. It could be due to common conditions such as dry eyes, however, it may also be due to sight-threatening conditions such as eye infection, glaucoma and other conditions. To be safe and sure, if you have red eyes, be sure to get your eyes checked by an eye specialist to avoid complications.

-What is the first step if I do not feel comfortable with my sight?

If your eyesight drops suddenly or within a short period of time, you should visit an eye specialist immediately.

-Would it be dangerous if I do not treat my eye condition?

Its been almost 8 years ago since I had LASIK Surgery done by Prof Muhaya, and Alhamdulillah my vision is super good till this date.
