I would like to invite ALL OF YOU to visit our new centre located in Bukit Jalil (next to the Pavilion II Mall), which is now known as the IKONIK Eye Specialist Centre. As a company that focuses on the growth of the team, we see everybody in the centre as an icon in their field and capabilities to serve you well. Hence, the name IKONIK arise!
As our guest at the centre, we see you as an icon! Therefore, it is our priority to provide you with the “First Class, World Class” services. Do come over and get your eyes checked thoroughly, at least once in a lifetime. Through the years of managing this eye centre, I realized that eye diseases can be silent. Our centre is equipped with advanced machines that aid our consultant ophthalmologists to diagnose correctly and provide good treatment.

As the founder of this centre, I am grateful for the achievements we have obtained over the past years. Our holistic approach in treating patients has won the hearts of the patients who received treatment at our centre. We had been awarded multiple prestigious awards; The Star SOBA Award 2018, Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand Award and the Sin Chew Business Award. IKONIK will continue to grow and progress as a high-performance organization focusing on building people and contributing to the community. We shape our working culture around the CARES value, which stands for Caring, Agile, Responsive, Excellent execution and Smile. It is my priority to ensure that every role of the IKONIK staff to be ingrained with these values.
The hand that gives is the hand that gathers; therefore, I believe in giving back to society through spreading knowledge on eye health awareness. We conducted multiple roadshows with free eye screening in the past years. Additionally, we offered free cataract surgeries to the citizens of an old nursing home in Kajang. This initiative is an ongoing project.

Addaem Chandran
Mr. Addaem Chandran is the founder and the chief executive officer (CEO) of Ikonik Eye Specialist Centre (formerly known as Prof Muhaya Eye & LASIK Centre). Before setting up the eye centre, he was employed at a multinational company for more than 12 years in the Fortune 500 companies. He assumed multiple roles and led a multi-million-dollar business. He is a well-experienced manager where in his career in the previous company, he handled over 110 employees. He was rewarded with multiple awards for his talent in building businesses and capability.
In late 2013, Addaem founded PMELC and started its operation as an eye specialist centre focused on corneal refractive surgery. Under his leadership, the company expanded its services by providing treatments for cataract, diabetic eye diseases, etc. In January 2021, the eye centre expanded further with a new brand of the Ikonik Eye Specialist Centre. It relocated to a prime area of Bukit Jalil with a conducive infrastructure and a strategic location.
Coming from a difficult social background in the rubber estates of Perak, he knew from early on that for a person to grow and improve, knowledge has to be sought continuously. During his varsity days, he received a full scholarship from a private institution and graduated with a Degree in Business Administration with honours. Later on, he obtained a scholarship to pursue his Master of Business Administration (MBA) studies in one of the world’s most competitive leading business schools; INSEAD Business School. He is also highly passionate about developing people. He is a certified Team Coach and Certified Executive Coach from the prestigious Marshall Goldsmith Executive Coaching Guru and a certified Neuro-linguistic Programme (NLP) trainer. Addaem’s key priority has always been to develop a high-performance organisation, and this is one of the steps to reaching the goal of becoming a leading eye centre.
He is passionate about growing and grooming young talents; therefore, he plays a substantial role in training the staff for multiple functional positions. His enthusiasm and sincerity in developing the company and the team paid its due when he was awarded the Par Excellence Achievement Award under the Male Entrepreneur of the year 2018 at The Star Outstanding Business Awards (SOBA). Furthermore, under his leadership, the company won the Malaysian Business of the Year 2018 and Gold Awards for both Best Brands and Best in CSR.
He is also a loving father to his children and he enjoys spending time with them while instilling positive values.
