Pan-Retinal Photocoagulation (PRP) Laser
The affected eye will be dilated with dilating drops before the procedure.
Topical anaesthetic eye drops will be given to minimise discomfort.
The doctor will place a special contact lens on the surface of the eye. This will focus the laser on the specific area of the retina.
This procedure will be done in an upright position and usually takes about 15-30 minutes, depending on the extense of ocular condition and patient cooperation.
